Hello!
Welcome to our bi-weekly newsletter, where we bring you the latest updates from Votorantim and our portfolio companies, along with market insights and news.
Compliance Week
This month, we are hosting the 2024 Compliance Week, our annual event that brings together leaders and professionals from across our portfolio companies for discussions and reflections on compliance topics. The event kicked off on October 7th, featuring experts who shared valuable insights on cybersecurity, information security, and best practices for staying safe in the digital space.
Several companies in our portfolio have also held events over the past few weeks. At Reservas Votorantim, there was a lecture focused on behavior and reputational risk. At our Center of Excellence (CoE), the leadership team discussed best practices in information security, and we held a Privacy Day, open to the public, addressing the responsible use of personal data and the handling of confidential information. At CBA | Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio, the emphasis was on ethics and digital behavior while Instituto Votorantim explored the challenges of its Compliance Program. At Citrosuco, a week-long series of activities highlighted the program’s core pillars and the importance of individual responsibility.
In the coming weeks, other companies in our portfolio will be conducting events and initiatives to further strengthen compliance practices within their operations.
GPTW Health Certification
CBA | Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio has earned the GPTW Health Certification, awarded for the first time by Great Place To Work Brasil to companies with comprehensive health and wellness initiatives for their
employees. Among the company’s actions is the “Por Você” program, which promotes well being through pillars focused on emotional, physical, and financial health. Additionally, the company has established the “Health Space,” a facility in partnership with Hospital Sírio Libanês located within the Alumínio factory and the corporate office to serve employees’ health needs.
Climate impact prevention
Via Mobilidade, a subsidiary of the CCR Group has implemented new monitoring technology to reduce the impact of climate events on its operations. Developed by Climatempo, the system uses satellite data to track weather events such as lightning, strong winds, wildfires, and heavy rainfall near the railway lines, sending alerts to the company’s teams and local fire departments. This initiative is part of CCR Group’s climate resilience strategy, which was launched in April.
