Investment in Mobility
In 2024, CCR led investments in Brazil’s mobility infrastructure sector. They invested R$ 7.44 billion in highway platforms, urban mobility, and airports, marking the company’s highest investment to date, with a 17.2% increase compared to 2023. Of this amount, R$ 4.2 billion was allocated to enhance safety, comfort, and traffic flow on highways through expansion and duplication projects. Highlights in urban mobility include the delivery of 36 new trains, renovation of 12 stations in São Paulo, and the Gentileza Intermodal Terminal (TIG) in Rio de Janeiro. Regarding airports, the company invested R$ 1.72 billion in upgrading 15 terminals.
Renewable Energy
Auren is expanding partnerships with clients using Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to ensure their electricity comes from cleaner sources. For example, Hotel Bahia do Sol migrated in 2023 to 100% certified renewable energy, as did Volkswagen across all its Brazilian units. Companies in the Free Energy Market have the opportunity to purchase RECs, supporting their decarbonization goals and enhancing their reputation in the market.
Business in the Amazon Biome
Five preservation projects in the Amazon biome will receive investments following the selection from an initiative supported by VC through the Transformar Network. This initiative gathers companies to promote community development in the region. Selection criteria included activities in vulnerable territories, potential for income generation and employment, among others. The projects aim to train farmers in rehabilitating degraded areas, support women in agriculture, and assist entrepreneurs in businesses such as eco-jewelry production.
